The Crown GL-80E and GL-100E are gas-fired, self-contained, fully insulated steam-jacketed kettles, designed to meet rigorous standards. They are ASME Code stamped, National Board Registered, and certified by AGA and CGA, with NSF approval for quality and safety. These units come standard with a spring-assisted cover for ease of operation. Constructed with a durable type 304 stainless steel exterior finished with a #4 sanitary finish, the kettle is supported by four 6” stainless steel adjustable legs for easy leveling. The interior kettle liner is made from type 316 stainless steel with a #4 sanitary finish, ensuring superior corrosion resistance. The kettle features 2/3 jacketed construction, with a 2” tangent draw-off valve with strainer for efficient draining. The recessed control panel, located on the front side of the unit for optimal visibility and ease of use, includes standard controls such as electronic ignition, direct immersion thermostat, water sight glass, cooking light, pressure gauge, and low water indicator light. For safety, the kettle includes a low water cut-off, pressure relief valve, and pressure switch to protect the unit during operation. The kettle features a double-wall interior steam jacket around the lower 2/3 of the kettle and a hemispherical bottom design for superior heat circulation, ensuring even cooking. Convenience features include a 2” (50 mm) sanitary draw-off valve with a heat-resistant handle and an included faucet bracket for added practicality.
